I put lipstick with my right hand, then wipe it off with my left hand. The two gestures are repeated over and over. First, this process transforms a part of the face. Then the gestures are superimposed, the cadence speeds up gradually and my two hands help to cover my face.
At the end of the performance, the material is spread all over the face. A smooth and homogeneous surface is revealed. The standardisation of the face takes shape through disappearance and appearance, through the gestures of putting and removing.
